Housekeeper - Rimbey Valley View Manor
Job Summary
Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Housekeeper provides support to the housekeeping department within established guidelines and complies with all legislation regarding food handling.
Qualifications

Minimum Grade 12 education

Experience in Food Services
-
The ability to prepare and serve balanced, aesthetically pleasing and nutritious meals.

Good interpersonal and communication skills
-
Ability to work all shifts and any day of the week.

A combination of training and experience will be considered in lieu of formal education requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
-
Maintain general cleanliness of dietary area.

Carry out specific tasks as related to the shift worked.

Ensure that all meals are served in a pleasant and efficient manner.

Note unexplained absences of residents from meals and check the absent Resident’s room to ensure they are ok. Report to the person in charge of the shift if any resident is not eating.

Provide assistance to the Kitchen Supervisor as requested.

Work as part of the staff team to ensure a high standard of service is provided.

Be aware of Lodge Standards and Food Handling Legislation and always work to the required levels.
- To maintain a healthy and safe work environment by using safe work practices and report unsafe conditions or injuries.

Accept other tasks as assigned with a cheerful and positive attitude.
